50 *FREE* Christmas Cards! Yes, please!

I am not one to plan ahead, I am a major procrastinator with most things. But for some reason, this year I am planning ahead for Christmas. Now that I have a family I get excited about making and sending out Christmas cards! Right now, Shutterfly is offering 50 free holiday cards to bloggers who write about their products. I went to Shutterfly's website to explore cards for this year and there are so many great options! I don't like sending out the cheesy cards from local drugstores or even Costco/Sam's club, because everyone has seen them and they just don't seem personalized or special. Here is one card that I love from Shutterfly because it's fun!

Find this card here! We still have to work on getting a family picture to put on these Christmas cards, so after I do that, I will plug in the picture to this card and probably several others (because there are so many cute ones) to pick one that also fits our picture.

They also offer Christmas cards that are like a newsletter. You can put a family photo on the front and on the inside include little tidbits about everyone in their own section! I'll just stick to the regular Christmas card for my family, but this is a wonderful option that I haven't seen before and would love to get from others!

Find this Holiday Story Card HERE

Check out Shutterfly's website HERE
And Christmas/Holiday card section HERE

Friday Blog Hops!

Help me get past 100 followers before my first giveaway! Coming soon!

Five Question Friday

1. Who is the better cook, you or your spouse?
Me...but he isn't so bad either. He can definitely follow a recipe and make something delicious.

2. How often do you talk to your mom?
At least once a week usually. But I'm not good about making phone calls and don't really like talking on the phone.

3. Are you adventurous in the kitchen or stick to the recipe?
A little of both. I'm starting to tweak recipes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it flops.

4. Is your second toe longer than your big toe?
They're about the same length. If you stretched them, the second toe would be slightly longer.

5. Do you dress up for Halloween? (Bonus question: What will you be this year?)
I do dress up for Halloween- for Young Life Costume Club and we dress up at work (I teach gymnastics and we have the kids come in costume that week). I don't have a plan for this year yet.

Rite Aid today

I went back to Rite Aid today armed with my Rain Check for last week's deal on Crest with Scope Outlast toothpaste. Last week, the toothpaste was on sale for $2.69 with a $2.69 UP reward and I had $1 coupons for each one. They were all out, though, so I had gotten a rain check. I went back this week and this week's deal on the toothpaste was $2.49 with a $1 UP reward. With the rain check, Rite Aid can only charge the price it was on sale for minus the UP reward, so I got the toothpastes for free and also got the $1 UP rewards on each of them! So I had $0 out of pocket and earned $5 UP rewards! I also bought a Maybelline eye shadow (on 40% off sale + $1 coupon) and used a $1 coupon to get a trial pack of 2 diapers for free. So I paid $1.19 oop and got back $5...Rite Aid essentially paid me $4.81 to take these items. I'm glad they were out of the toothpastes last week!

Free Razors!

This week at both CVS and Rite Aid you can snag some free razors! We bought some of these a few weeks ago when there were $5 coupons out and ECBs at CVS, and they are great razors. The Schick Hydro 3 and Schick Hydro 5. This week there are 2 $4 coupons in the newspaper inserts. Use them at CVS and pay $5 out of pocket (oop) and get $5 Extra Care Bucks (ECBs) back = free razors. You can use the other coupon paired with the $5 ECBs and get more- up to 8 cartridges (if you buy all refills) for $5 oop. There is a limit of 1 ECBs for this deal, so you won't get $5 ECBs back on the second transaction.
Or take your coupons to Rite Aid where the razors are on sale and pair it with a $2 Video Values coupon (from Rite Aid's website and using your Wellness Card) and get the razors for free- with possible $0.03 overage.
I will be doing one of the razor deals at CVS with some ECBs I have and one deal at Rite Aid so that I don't have to pay anything oop. Too bad the limit is 1 on ECBs at CVS and you can only get 1 Video Values coupon!

BuyCostumes.com GROUPON!

Are you still looking for costumes for Halloween? Here's a great way to do it:
Today's Groupon deal for Baltimore is $15 for $30 worth of merchandise at BuyCostumes.com! I bought mine and will be ordering costumes for my little ones tomorrow. With online Groupon deals, you can buy from any city.

Here's how to get yours: CLICK HERE to go to Groupon's site. Click on Buy and enter your information. Within a few minutes you'll receive an email receipt confirming that your card has been charged. Your receipt will describe how to print your Groupon, and your Groupon will include everything you need to know to redeem it. This deal is already on and you can use the Groupon on anything on the site- but it says you have to pay for any shipping and tax. Shipping is $4.99 for the cheapest option. There are some really cute costumes in the clearance section (yes, this is good on clearance and sale), so you should be able to snag 2 costumes for this deal!

Sunday coupon preview!

Want to know what coupons are going to be coming in Sunday's paper? Check it out here!
Here in the Philadelphia area, the Philadelphia Inquirer has the Sunday paper for sale on Saturday and Sunday. Crazy, huh!? My Sunday after church tradition of clipping coupons and watching football has been changed now that the coupons are available to me a day early. This is great for me now as I'm trying to become an effective couponer so I can cut the coupons to determine if I should use them on Saturday or the following week based on the ads and sales. This is also a great way to see if it's worth buying the Sunday paper (if you only buy for coupons).
